Victory Flashmob – Roundup

6 July 2010

There was a great turnout at the Victory Flashmob on Sunday with around 60 of us happily snapping away, free from police harassment. We’ve rounded up some of the coverage from the flashmob below, post a link in the comments if we’ve missed anyone out.

Unfortunately I think that it is too soon for a victory celebration. S43 will be used just as indiscriminately, even though one of the highest police officers in the land went on BBC radio and said in no uncertain terms that taking a photograph in a public place does NOT constitute reasonable suspicion of terrorism.

I’m a geography student at the University of Nottingham investigating FLASH MOBBING events like this for my final year dissertation. For those of you who have participated in one or more mobs I’m looking for people to complete my online questionnaire. It should only take a few minutes and your invaluable opinions would really help my research along. There’s also a chance to win a £10 iTunes voucher! Thanks in advance for taking part.
